elysiumgallery, Swansea showcases the work of Artists from Colorado, USA to whom drawing is the mainstay of their creative practice.
The exhibition curated by Professor Mary-Ann Kokoska from Colorado State University offers different perspectives of this process and vindicates the vitality and contemporary relevance that drawing has in art today. This is the first of three exhibitions which will form a cultural exchange between Swansea, Wales and Colorado, USA. In September the work of over 100 Wales Artists will be travelling over to Colorado Clara Hatton Gallery for an exhibition featuring the work of artists from both countries. The Welsh section of that exhibition will then be arriving back in Swansea in November as a part of a series of From Here and There drawing exhibitions and activities spread over various locations in Swansea city Centre.
