Jessica Hoad has a varied sculptural practice that explores our encounters with others and our natural response to situations, objects, sounds and spaces. She is interested in how we are shaped through lived experience and perceive ourselves as separate but part of a whole. Her current practice focuses on ideas of interior and exteriority and the negotiation of a boundary or façade.

The collection and bringing together of everyday objects, and more recently sound, continues to be a fundamental part of her practice forming the basis of her installations and interventions.

Jessica studied Fine Art at Oxford Brookes University and recently graduated from a Fine Art Masters at UWTSD Swansea. She is currently artist in residence with The Glynn Vivian Art Gallery offsite at The YMCA Swansea. www.jessicahoad.co.uk
