Beep Painting Biennial 2020
The Beep Painting Prize returns to Swansea, UK for a 5th time, forming the centrepiece to a South Wales contemporary painting festival showcasing national and international artists.
Charges: The Beep Painting Prize is FREE to enter, but there will be a £25 exhibitions fee only if you are one of the chosen artists for the exhibition. All income generated goes back into the prize money and the setting up of the exhibition.

Location: Swansea, Wales, UK
Who: Beep is Wales & the UK’s only contemporary citywide International painting biennale with exhibitions and events spread across Swansea, Cardiff and South Wales. Beep 2020 is open to artists from all over the world.
When: 27th June – 8th August 2020
Payments: There are three awards. The main prize of £1000 and a solo exhibition with elysium gallery, Swansea in 2021 which will be chosen by the panel of judges. The peoples prize of £200 chosen by the visiting public and a £200 Welsh prize chosen by The Friends of the Glynn Vivian.
Details: We are looking for submissions that show imaginative and vibrant practice in contemporary painting for the main 2020 Beep exhibition. The exhibition will form the focal point to a citywide festival of painting featuring residencies, exhibitions, symposiums, films & workshops across South Wales. Venues included so far are elysium gallery, Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, Mission Gallery, Volcano Theatre, GS Artists, Swansea Museum, College Street Gallery, Arcade Campfa, Cardiff MADE, RUG, Oriel Canfas and The Black Raven Gallery.
This year the selectors are artists Steph Goodger, Enzo Marra and elysium gallery/Beep Director Jonathan Powell.
