Launched in 2012, Beep (biennial exhibition of painting) is a contemporary painting prize, bringing together artists from all over the world. Taking place every 2 years, beep supports imaginative and vibrant practice in contemporary painting. Led by elysium gallery, Beep has now grown into Europe’s only citywide festival of contemporary painting encompassing other exhibitions around Swansea City centre and this year Cardiff as well. There are 4 prizes for the Painting Prize exhibition including the main prize of £1000 and a solo exhibition with elysium gallery. The Peoples Prize voted for by the visitors to the exhibition, plus TWO Welsh painters prizes sponsored by the Friend of the Glynn Vivian and the artist Andre Stitt and Gallery TEN.
