Body Shop | 31st May 2008

‘The Body Shop’ is a production created by final year performing arts students at Swansea Metropolitan University.

‘The Body Shop’ is set in the not so distant future where it is common place to pop down the local body shop to pick up a new set of eyes, have a kidney transplant or get the latest look with a new skin colour. The audience, as potential employees of The Body Shop, will receive full training on customer service, dealing with stock and orders, basic surgical procedures and health and safety regulations. They will be shown the ropes of The Body Shop, but will they want to work there after what they see?

The Body Shop is a dark satire based on predictions of how society may evolve. It is an interactive, inovative performance with some adult content and will not be suitable for the faint hearted!
