Free Eco Sculpture workshops
with artist Mark Folds

Sat 4th, 11th & 18th March, Midday – 4pm

Making large scale sculptures from reused cardboard.

During the sessions at Elysium gallery, Swansea High Street, drop- in participants will be given a short introduction to techniques and methods of making sculptural objects from found cardboard, collected from High Street.

We will be making, manipulating, constructing, joining and most importantly, being expressive and having fun.
In the sessions you will explore:
• Techniques for cutting, shaping, and joining cardboard using domestic materials (tape, string, glue)
Sculpture making, construction methods
Expressive art, working collaboratively and imaginatively
Working on a large scale
Learning sustainable skills

All tools and joining materials will be provided, the cardboard will be scavenged/collected from High Street at the beginning of each session, or attendees can bring their own cardboard boxes/packaging.

Workshop participants will be able to take part in the Eco Visions exhibition at Elysium gallery later in the year showcasing sustainable approaches to making art.

FREE ENTRY This is a drop-in group of sessions running from Midday to 4pm on Saturdays 4th, 11th & 18th March.
There are no age limits, but young children must be accompanied by their responsible adult
