Shades of Existence brings together artists who map their own experience: memory, sensation, and the questions that sit beneath daily life, to ask what ‘place’ truly means. Is it a physical location, a spiritual state, or somewhere that lives between the two?
Across the exhibition, past and future fold into the present. The works draw on history, culture and imagination in equal measure, treating place not as a fixed point but as something layered, remembered and imagined all at once.
As you move through the space, look out for the unseen forces, social, psychological, and even mystical, that quietly shape how we come to belong. Some of these influences are visible in the materials and methods on show; others sit just beneath the surface, asking to be felt rather than seen.
