Join us at Elysium Gallery for an artist talk with Tracy Harris and Alicia Braid, exploring their collaboration for the exhibition, More Than the Land Remembers, which combines photography and Super 8 film to explore female presence, transformation and power within Welsh landscapes shaped by industry, extraction and change.
Tracy Harris is a multidisciplinary artist working across photography, film, theatre, television, radio and immersive media. Her practice explores human stories, identity, transformation and the relationship between people and place. Her work has been presented nationally and internationally, including with the BBC and S4C, and at Cannes and New York Film Festivals. Her screen work includes the BAFTA-nominated Swansea: Living on the Streets, while her play MumFighter won Best Director at the 2025 DEBUT Stage Awards. In recent years, photography has become central to her practice, with exhibitions including Ffotogallery’s Higgins Exhibition (2024) and Made In (2025).
Alicia Braid is an experimental filmmaker and researcher whose practice transforms philosophical ideas into visceral, sensory cinema. Working with analogue film and the material qualities of hand-processed Super 8, she creates immersive experiences that invite audiences to engage with the world through the senses.
Together, their exhibition considers what it means for women to occupy space, be visible and find belonging. Through photography, film, storytelling and landscape, the artists explore feminine power, intuition, stillness and the potential for change.
Free entry, and all welcome! Our café will be open, serving hot and cold drinks and cake.
