Elysium Gallery is an accessible venue, with a range of facilities to help make your visit comfortable and enjoyable.
Our friendly Front of House team, based in the café area, are always happy to welcome you and assist with any requirements during your visit.
Accessible Facilities
A Changing Places facility and accessible toilets are available on the ground floor.
Accessible Parking
A multi-storey car park is located directly next to Elysium Gallery, with designated accessible parking spaces on the ground floor. The car park entrance is on Orchard Street.
Wheelchair Access
All public areas, classrooms and function rooms are fully accessible to wheelchair users. Wheelchair access is available via our café entrance on Belle Vue Way, shown on the photos below:
Sensory Information
Elysium Gallery is generally a calm and welcoming environment, but some areas and activities can occasionally be busier or noisier.
Noise: Some exhibitions may include audio artwork, which can be loud at times. Our café can also become busy, particularly during events. Regular groups, workshops and room hires take place close to the gallery and may also create additional noise.
Lighting: Lighting levels in the exhibition spaces may vary, depending on the artwork and the exhibiting artist’s preferences. Some areas may be lighter or darker than other parts of the building.
Quiet Room: We have a designated quiet room offering a calm, low-stimulation space where visitors can take a break, decompress and regulate their senses. This space is available to neurodivergent visitors and anyone who may feel overwhelmed during their visit.
Assistance Animals
Guide dogs, hearing dogs and registered assistance dogs are welcome throughout the venue.
Guiding Service
If you require assistance from a member of our team to help you navigate the building, please contact us in advance so we can arrange this for you. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a guiding service for visitors who have not booked in advance.
