As part of Elysiums weekend of Swansea Fringe Festival events Ministry Of Absurdism presents: Cabinet Of Curiosities.

An afternoon and evening of top-class absurd comedy… Hurrah!
We are truly honoured to have two London-based acts coming to perform their latest, amazing Edinburgh Festival shows! These two performances will be topped off superbly by the one and only Jeff Japers, who is guaranteed to melt away those Sunday evening blues!

LINE UP:

5:00pm – 6:00pm
Andy Barr: The Ruby
With his father recently deceased, minor aristocrat Andy Barr stands to inherit his fortune, his estate, his magnificent ruby and its terrible curse. Andy Barr is an award-winning comic, an ‘innovative rising star’ (Time Out) and an ‘off-key delight’ (Skinny) whose ‘comic timing and gestures are impeccable’ (**** (List)), Tim Key’s Pick of the Fringe (iNews, 2017), not to mention ‘a charming late-night curiosity’ (Chortle.co.uk), albeit one taking place at 5pm.

Michael Brunström: World of Sports
[SFX: FANFARE] Michael Brunström is an Olympic athlete striving for gold medal glory. Surrealist caper. Follow him on his sporting journey as he competes in the diving, the badminton, the archery, the cake decorating, the chess, etc. – culminating in a thrilling 100m finale. Experience every heart-stopping moment. Hear the roar of the stadium. Smell the adrenaline. Winner of the Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality. ‘An artistic genius’ **** (Skinny). ‘Sense-bendingly entertaining’ **** (Scotsman). ‘Hilariously silly’ (Chortle.co.uk). ‘Serial innovator’ (Time Out). ‘What the…?’ (Metro).

Jeff Japers: Fun Musical Comedy
Award winning comedian Jeff Japers originated from Glossop in the North of England, and moved to Pontypridd in South Wales in 1992. He is a funny and endearing writer and performer of comedy songs. A regular headliner on the South Wales comedy scene, providing an entertaining musical performance of inoffensive daftness.

Jeff might be throwing some of his newer ideas into the mix for this show, which will be a nice treat for his loyal fans! ‘A musical comedy genius / idiot.’ (Neath Comedy Festival). ‘Like John Shuttleworth on Pro Plus.’ ‘The audience loved the daftness of it.’ (Chortle).
