I’ve been wanting to organise a Nashville Style Writer’s Round for a while now so I thought why not finish 2019 off by inviting some of my favourite artists to perform at a special Christmas Show!!!!

Each artist will perform 5 Original songs and their own special take on a Christmas Classic.. and in the spirit of Christmas the event will be donation based so everyone can come and enjoy the show. Elysium have an amazing selection of drinks and there is food available from their pop-up kitchen NYM City Cuisine!

WILL PURDUE
Will Purdue is a singer – songwriter influenced by all the great sad young men, such as Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, and Neil Young. Will is from the anti metropolis, yet beautifully quiet town of Whitchurch, Hampshire. Forever dreaming of escape and travel, he naturally turned to music as an outlet for teenage frustrations (and somewhere to put his quite dreadful love letters) and began to find himself addicted to the act of creating. – https://www.facebook.com/willpurduemusic/

NIGEL PHILIP DAVIES

I am a man of seasoned years. Living has been my education in songwriting. ”
Nigel cites influences from everyone from Dylan to Billy Bragg, passing through the territories of Neil Young, Springsteen and Damien Rice.
Has has shared the bill with Glastonbury legends Stackridge, Simple Minds, Terrafolk , The Strawbs, Adrian Edmondson, Ricky Warwick of the Almighty and Thin Lizzy and has also played festival slots with Nick Harper, The Storys, Amy Wadge and Cerys Matthews. – https://www.facebook.com/nigelphilipdavies/

SARAH & DAISY BIRCH
Sarah Birch is a singer and songwriter residing in Swansea. Known for performing predominantly with Lost Tuesday Society; Sarah’s solo album was released in April 2019 and is receiving excellent reviews and selling widely. JOSH BEDDIS
Josh Beddis, the laid back country picker from West Wales takes inspiration from the traditional Folk music and Cowboy songs of the Appalachian mountains to the Honky Tonks and dive bars and everything in between . Josh is paying tribute to the rich legacy of these genres while carving a new path, with his unique style of traditional Country Music and easy listening, heartfelt stories that leave audiences captivated. ‘Old school toe tapping vibes that make you fall in love with the genre all over again’ – Lyric Magazine

ELERI ANGHARAD

Eleri Angharad is a fresh new voice on the UK Country scene from Swansea, South Wales. Inspired by a North American road trip, where she performed in Nashville, Chicago and New York, Eleri blends traditional Country Music storytelling with Celtic folk and catchy Pop melodies, drawing influences from James Taylor and Kacey Musgraves.
Captivated by Nashville artists’ stories of heartbreak, travelling and coming home, Eleri explores these themes in her debut album ‘Earthbound’; body of work based on her travels around the US, Ireland and Sweden, co-written with Owen Powell of Catatonia and Naomi Rae.
