Its not Now and its hopefully not Later
Its impossible to describe work that doesn’t stand still and cant be limited to a specific space. With ideas overlapping at an endless rate, only certain pieces make it onto a surface. Even then they are not how I’ve seen them but how my brain has interpreted them. Structures flow and topple on top of each other into new sequences of line and shape.
Drawing and installation become the same concept.
Materials like pencil and paper become obsolete and flimsy. Metal, Vinyl and Perspex hold more in common with what I am trying to achieve.
Situated in the elysiumgallery High Street studios, the IS THIS/THIS IS test-bed space is primarily used by residency artists and the elysiumgallery studios community. The aim is to enable artists to work and experiment towards creating new work in an environment outside of their usual studio practice in preparation for critical discussions within the group. The space enables artists to develop, to build, to take risks, to test and to invite peers to see the work in progress.
Only members of elysiumgallery studios and guests are invited to these group discussions.
