A wonderful evening of folk music headlined by Swansea favourites Dark & Twisties.
Swansea super group Dark and Twisties are; Sarah Birch, Kate Ronconi, Sarah Passmore, Danny Kilbride and Huw Rees, a collective made up of members of Lost Tuesday Society, Rag Foundation, and Sarah and the Creepy Uncles.
They have received a rapturous reception since bursting into the scene just months ago, weaving stories old and new into strange and beautiful songs with glorious harmonies and skilful musicianship.
Hawk Howard will perform music from his upcoming Folk EP ‘Fragments of Hope’ with a live band of wonderfully talented musicians. The music is heavily inspired by Hawk’s love and deep connection with the natural world. Inspired by artist such as Nick Drake, Bon Iver, Watchhouse and Cynefin.
Expect melodic open tuned guitar, heart-warming fiddle and twinkly mandolin.
Honey Rich is studying in Swansea and has played a number of shows since debuting at Elysium last year, wowing audiences with rich melodies and beautiful lyrics.
Laila Woodward is a member of the acclaimed Youth Blood young musician’s programme operating out of Pontardawe Arts Centre as well as Swansea Grand Theatre. Her powerful voice and guitar playing are always a delight and we’re thrilled to welcome her back to Swansea’s High Street.
