KRAAKLUSTIG
Kraaklustig is a 7 piece doom folk orchestra from the Netherlands. And Ruen a folk punk two piece.
Both bands are dedicated to making political art through music and seek to build relationships through friendships, kindness and political resistance during a slow burning apocalypse.
— Kraaklustig —-This anarcha folk project from NL knows how to transform their anger about injustice into a party with comrades. They sing about oppression, rise and revenge of human and non-human animals, about disillusionment of privilege and climate grief and until everyone has a house! Check out their EP here:
(‘Kraaklustig’ is a play on words. ‘Wraaklustig’ means ‘vengeful’/to be bent on vengeance. ‘Kraaklustig’ could be translated as ‘to be bent on squatting’)
RUEN
Ruen is a newly formed band that started during AFF2024 with Bruno from Sharp Knives and Rover from Kraaklustig and previously Cistem Failure. They describe their music as Post-Apocalyptic, hopeful cosy doom for the quasi-delusional.
