Maya Kally is a genre-free singer-songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist with jazz, indie and experimental influences. Her distinct style encompasses political injustice, lust through heartbreak, and topics less spoken about within society.

Born in North London and a Leeds Conservatoire alumni, Maya’s music has taken inspiration from living in cities and finding serenity in such a fast-paced environment.

Maya has worked with supporting artists including multi-award-winning pianist Bill Laurance and award-winning musicians Matthew Bourne as well as performing at Manchester Jazz Festival, Wigan Jazz Festival, Cloudspotting Festival, Leeds Jazz Festival, Roundhouse, Ronnie Scott’s, The Old Blue Last and many more.

Her debut single, Another Time, is out now and has been played on Alan Raws BBC Introducing as well as Amazing Radio. Her single Another Time has introduced Maya Kally as a ‘Fantastic new talent!’.

Since moving back to London, Maya has been awarded funding from PRS Foundation, Festival Republic and ReBalance, which contributed to the anticipated creation of her single: ‘We’re Waiting’.

This led to Maya’s most recent release, ‘Chose To Stay’. Maya released her much-anticipated single, ‘Look Up’, on Friday 24th February 2023, available on all streaming platforms.

Support from Daisy and Danny Sioned.
