No Thee No Ess are a Cardiff band based around songwriting & vocals of Andy Fung & Paul Battenbough.

Since 2008 they’ve released 8 albums and an EP – on the independent Folkwit label and the last 2 albums on Surk Records.

Featured many times on BBC Radio 6 with Don letts, Tom Ravenscroft, Gideon Coe and Huw Stephens, and BBC Radio Wales Adam Walton. Regular performances at Greenman, including this year, 2022 on the Settlement stage.

An enticing live sound, rich with harmonies and sophisticated song structure. The band produce an immersive uplifting experience. Expect a melodic journey with psychedelic scenery.

Tom Emlyn writes honest, swirling songs that cut straight to the bone. Known in the past for his work with rock band Bandicoot, his current solo work maps an alternative Southwalian landscape,
a hallucinated community drawn from psychogeography and local history.

Written on foot and by bus, his observational, poetic lyrics and simple 60s-folk influenced melodies explore what it means to belong to a place – the bitterness, the love and the humour.

In the particular is contained the universal, and Tom Emlyn’s captivating songs explore the particularity and peculiarity of human experience in a unique way.

Tom Emlyn recently released his debut solo album “News From Nowhere”, a bittersweet love letter to Swansea, described by Adam Walton as a record of “undoubted brilliance, eloquence and energy”.

It has been hugely positively received, with airplay and support from Radio Wales, BBC Horizons, R.E.P.E.A.T. fanzine, God Is In The TV, and Joyzine, among others.

Tom is currently touring his album, with energetic, intimate, committed solo performances across Wales and beyond, and more releases planned for 2022 and 2023.
