Swansea’s creative community has been given a huge boost with the news that elysiumgallery has created an extra 36 studio spaces in the city centre.
You and your guests are invited to the launch of elysiumgallery’s new High street studios!
elysiumgallery was established in 2007 and now provides 60 creative spaces over 3 venues in Swansea City centre for an eclectic range of practitioners including visual fine artists, photographers, illustrators, designers, writers and much more.
The High Street studio project seeks to foster a collaborative and participatory experience creating a vibrant and creative community. We aim to create the framework for a world of ideas and inspiration which will feed into the vibrant Swansea arts scene.
You will be able to see the studios and work of:
Kat Ridgeway, Arwel Micah, Eifion Sven Myers, Gerald Thomas, Jenny Chisolm, Rhiannon Grostate, Alan & Carys Roberts, Dave Long, Dan Westbury, Rob Anstey, Gayle West, Sarah Clifford, Cadi Lane, Paul Munn, Tim Kelly, James Moxey, Jane Simpson, Andrew Hobden, Sue Evans, Nathan Roach, Thomas Goddard, Dan McCabe, Connor Cooper, Will Barry, Fran Williams, Lucy Read, Ann Lucas, James Milligan, Callum Latham, Ole Nesset, Rachel Alderman, Cerys Thomas-Ford, Rhian Stone, Alfie Scheinman, Tansy Rees, Tamara Dellutri & Jonathan Powell.
There will also be a special exhibition by the MA Contemporay dialogues Part 1 students in their large brand new studio and in the elysiumgallery project space.
This new project will be formally opened by Head of Cultural services for the City & County of Swansea – Tracey McNulty. We hope you can join us to raise a glass to this exciting new development for the Swansea Arts scene.
We are situated on the 2nd floor of the old Iceland supermarket building on the High street, although entrance is via the set of orange doors at the rear of the building on Orchard Street.
