About the role:

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will work with elysium gallery and with their project partners to help coordinate and support the delivery of their Creative Neurodivergent Networks programme of activities and events.

This is an exciting opportunity that would suit an experienced professional looking for flexibility and to apply their outstanding social and analytical skills to contribute to the issue of training and development of neurodiverse education. We are looking for someone competent with data, passionate about social change and a great communicator.

The successful candidate/s will be responsible for collecting, analysing and reporting data which will help direct the exciting elysium gallery ‘Creative Neurodivergent Networks’ activities and lead the way on future projects.

The project is a 15-month supportive creative platform for the wider neurodivergent (ND) community, positioned within the heart of contemporary art organisations in Swansea. Working with ND artists and groups as creative leads; elysium and partnership organisations will facilitate a series of workshops and networking activities for ND participants to develop their own creative projects and new skills. We will develop a framework that can be used by creative organisations to allow for meaningful, accessible involvement of ND people in artistic practice and the creative industries. This framework will be developed by ND participants, with partner organisations facilitating the process.

The role will require the successful applicants to involve monitoring during the sessions and after, collating all the data, comparing it against the projects aims and presenting the data in a written report for Elysium’s board and prospective funders.

The role will involve working and communicating with the participants, helpers, session leaders and community groups. Good communication skills and a patience. Candidate will need to be able to work with a group but also show strong initiative and problem solving.

Candidates must also have a creative and responsive approach to participant preferences, including varied audio/multimedia collection and presentation of feedback and outcomes. 

Responsibilities will Include:

· Monitoring workshops and activities and helping inform best practice for activities afterwards.

· Developing and leading focus groups with service users.

· Perform analysis of data and share findings via written reports, online articles, and presentations.

· Developing partnerships with local experts with the aim of holding advice surgeries on relevant training needs and ideas for development.

· The deliverables from this project will be a data set which will both allow elysium to adapt our services to effectively meet the needs of our service users and contribute positively to further development of the project and provided evidence for prospective funders.

Qualifications and experience:

· The successful candidate will have strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, a keen interest in the arts and skill creation. Experience of conducting research and managing data collection efforts.

· Advanced proficiency with Excel and Powerpoint.

· Outstanding written and verbal communications skills, including creative presentation of information and use of data visualisations.

· Strong interpersonal skills and cross-cultural awareness.

Desirable: Welsh speaking

Experience working with vulnerable populations or in lower-income communities.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 15 months

Salary: £15,000 in total over 15 months of the project.

£250 a day, one day a week for 15 months

Freelance contract
