Investigating the socio-economic and socio-political condition, Jason & Becky work collaboratively to address a number of questions regarding our current human and social state. Through their practice, interventions and experiments, they challenge perceptions and aim to engage participants, blurring boundaries and pushing limits through interaction.

Jason & Becky are collaborative artists living and working in the European Union. Recent works include performing at the National Museum Wales Lates programme with tactileBOSCH, and an installation for the What Makes a Home Project where they collaborated with Coastal Housing resident Gary Crosby to produce a piece that will also be shown in Volcano Theatre from September. In 2016, Jason & Becky carried out a month-long residency at a homeless shelter in Venice as part of Mission Gallery’s CIVIC project and have previously exhibited in China (with UWTSD), Japan (with tactileBOSCH) and Colorado (with elysium gallery).

Since 2016, Jason & Becky have been undertaking two practice-based PhDs in partnership with Mission Gallery and Coastal Housing Group, researching engagement in gallery programming and the reluctance to report failure in socially engaged art projects. In 2019 they set up the Artist Wellbeing Network pilot project, funded by NAWR, as a practitioner-based complement to the ‘arts and health’ movement. The Network will explore the importance and safeguarding of all artists’ wellbeing – not just those working within an arts and health context.
