Cork will welcome a vibrant wave of contemporary art from Wales as Elsewhere, Here, an exhibition of artists from Swansea’s elysium gallery artist studios community. This cross-border showcase brings together painting, sculpture, and installation, that explore the shifting meanings of place, belonging, and identity.

The exhibition marks the first time a group of elysium artists have exhibited in Cork, creating a platform for dialogue between artist-led communities in Wales and Ireland. The exhibition is also part of an ongoing creative exchange programme between Sample Studios and elysium gallery, following on from an exhibition of both studios artworks in Swansea in 2024.

Elsewhere, Here is about the ways we carry our sense of place with us, It’s an exchange of perspectives, a meeting point between the familiar and the unknown.
